A collaboration between me and my Australian friend Jake, who writes poetry as a way to
learn Swedish. I got to work with his poems, visually interpreting them, exploring narrative and ways
to make poetry accessible and interesting to people in other forms than the book. I very much enjoy
making graphic design physical, exploring ways to incorporate graphic design, tactility and art.
Tvättstugan (The public laundry room) is a fever-dream love story between a human and
a washing machine. Here I worked a lot with layers of photography and scanned things like
laundry bags and washing detergent, experimenting with typography out of washing powder.
Ghosted is a collision between old love letters and a ghosted text conversation, exploring changes
in societal norms of confessing love and longing for affection. I wanted the cut-out text to represent
empty words and feelings of not being treated with respect, as if one’s words have no meaning.
Kåt På Jobbet is a poem about being horny at work, done completely in Excel,
as a fun way to experiment with graphic design in another forum than adobe.
Sverige-dikten (Swedish poem) is an exploration of a foreigner’s eye on Swedish culture,
while having the possibility to interact with the poem by coloring in the illustrations.
